Getting your foot through the therapy door (or virtual waiting room) is an honorable step on your journey toward self-discovery and growth. Though taking that step is not always easy, it can lead to significant healing and transformation. My goal as a therapist is to create a space that allows for such transformation — a space that is warm, welcoming, and free of judgment, where you feel comfortable being open and being you.
My approach to therapy is eclectic and person-centered, meaning that I draw from many modalities to tailor the therapy to you and your needs. I may incorporate elements of psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and attachment-based therapy in our work together. I view therapy as an inherently collaborative process — we will work together to process your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
I have experience working in inpatient psychiatry, supporting adults experiencing serious mental illnesses, and in outpatient behavioral health, supporting adults with relationship challenges, anger management, identity exploration, substance use, career challenges, anxiety, and depression, among other issues impacting their everyday life. I value working with people from all backgrounds, and operate from a culturally humble, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and trauma-informed lens.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to starting this journey with you!
