With over 20 years of social service experience in NYC, in both clinical and administrative practice, I have been fortunate to work with various populations i areas of mental health education and counseling, program management, and supervision. I received my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University with a concentration in Clinical Practice. I am also SIFI certified and have supervised other master level interns at various field placements.
My approach to therapy is client-centered with emphasis on emotional support and acceptance. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, loss, and ADHD. In addition, I have supported clients struggling with family an relationship issues and other life changes. I believe that trust, empathy, and empowerment are essential in building relationships and in the growth of the client. I am passionate about destigmatizing mental illness and improving accessibility for all ethnic groups. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in various fitness classes, traveling, dining, and spending time making memories with my friends and family.
