Rebecca Marbach, LMSW, MT-BC
Psychotherapist
Introducing Rebecca Marbach, LMSW, MT-BC, a dedicated therapist specializing in working with adolescents and adults. Rebecca's areas of interest include anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, sleep disturbances, stress, trauma and PTSD, and women's issues. With her expertise in music therapy and a compassionate approach, Rebecca provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their challenges and achieve personal growth and healing.
I approach the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self. If you are feeling stuck in familiar patterns, I will invite you to explore thoughts, feelings, and core beliefs in order to gain clarity and work toward healing old wounds.
I have a particular interest in complex and developmental trauma and their effects on adulthood relationships with self and others. I specialize in anxiety and panic, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community, and working with college students. I have niche experience in helping women of all ages and backgrounds navigate stress and burnout, life transitions, and relationship issues.
As a clinician, I am trauma-informed and culturally affirming. I incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, as well as motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic frameworks in my practice. I can also utilize music therapy and creative arts approaches within treatment where appropriate, as I am a board-certified music therapist in addition to a licensed social worker.
You might be coming to therapy to talk to an objective listener and feel heard, seen, and validated. Maybe you’re looking for something action oriented - to identify goals, develop new coping skills, and get “unstuck.” Regardless of your “why,” we will work together as a team to face challenges that arise and take steps forward in your journey.
